WHY USE HANDMADE SOAP?
Most store bought soap is made with harsh detergents and chemicals that strip our skin of its natural oils. Each bar of Chamomile Jane soap is made using simple ingredients including plant-based oils and botanical colorants and clays that work with our skin's natural ability to retain moisture.
DOES SOAP HAVE TO BE MADE WITH LYE...
I MEAN, WON'T THAT BURN MY SKIN?
Yes, true soap is made using a combination of oils or fats and lye!
But, a well-made bar of soap doesn’t contain lye (sodium hydroxide)
in the finished product, so it will not burn your skin.
In fact, the properties from the oils used are what creates a rich moisturizing, cleansing bar of soap! That amazing process, known as saponification,
chemically transforms the oils, fats and lye into soap.
WHERE CAN I FIND YOUR SOAP?
You can order my soap online through this website,
by messaging me on social media, in person at the Eugene Saturday Market, the Whiteaker Community Market, & various pop up markets throughout the year.
